Legionella Awareness Training
Duration: Half-day or full-day options
Who it’s for: New starters, water hygiene engineers, compliance managers, facilities staff
This course covers the core risks, responsibilities, and control measures related to Legionella, in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274. Delegates will leave with a solid understanding of:
The conditions that support Legionella growth
How to identify risk systems
Legal duties under COSHH
Control measures and water monitoring requirements
Ideal as either an introduction or refresher, this course builds confidence and awareness for anyone managing water systems.
Passive Fire Awareness & Familiarisation
Duration: Half-day
Who it’s for: Tradespeople, supervisors, facilities managers, on-site teams
This introductory session explains the principles of passive fire protection. From fire stopping to compartmentation — with real-world examples and guidance on regulations. Topics include:
The purpose of passive fire protection
Key materials and methods used
Understanding compartment lines and fire-stopped areas
Safety responsibilities and best practices
Perfect for teams working in or around fire-critical areas who need to understand the risks and how to stay compliant.
Fire Door Inspection – Practical & Theoretical Training
Duration: Half-day with practical test
Who it’s for: Maintenance staff, site managers, compliance officers, housing teams
This course combines essential theory with practical hands-on training to equip delegates with the knowledge and confidence to inspect fire doors on site.
The session includes:
A one-hour presentation with Q&A covering:
• What is a fire door?
• Why they’re installed and how they work
• Components, certification, and classifications
• Common non-compliances and maintenanceA practical fire door inspection with guidance on what to check and how to document findings
A competency test where attendees carry out a fire door check, followed by a debrief
All attendees receive a certificate of attendance on successful completion.
